Got Questions?
These are some of our clients' most common inquiries.
Events
What do the servers/bartenders wear?
Our standard uniform is a black button up shirt with slacks. Most of the senior staff and captains wear a logo on their shirt.
Can you accommodate food allergies/special diets?
Yes! We need to know all of these details at least 10 days before your big event. We can either make a special meal or advise you on menu changes that make sense for your group. We have a large amount of items than accommodate a gluten free or nut free diet. We have also made meals for dairy free, wheat free, corn free, shellfish, soy and mammal meat (alpha-gal).
When should we book our caterer?
It depends on the time of year. Most clients book 6-12 months out. Booking more than 12 months out usually get better pricing as each year we revaluate and adjust our pricing.
How do we book catering?
Once you have decided to book us as your caterer, we require a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total. This deposit is to reserve us for your event and will be credited to your total balance. You can still make as many changes as you like to the guest count, menu and services, but we simply ask that you do not change the date and location.
Tastings
What is the purpose of a tasting?
Tasting menus are tailored to your initial quote and gives you the chance to taste some of our menu items and then talk with an event manager about any questions you may have. It is often the first time we meet you in person and it gives us both a chance to determine if we are a good fit for your catering and rental needs.
May I come back for another tasting if my menu changes?
Yes, but there is a $25 charge per person not applied to the balance of your event for each additional tasting.
When do you offer tastings?
We typically offer them weekdays at 12:30 and on select evening and weekend days without event. Evening times can be arranged seasonally.
What is the price of a tasting?
Tastings start at $50 for 2 guests and may increase based on the requested menu. Our standard tasting is comprised of 6 items of your choosing. Additional item may be added for a fee. Additional guests are $25 each with a limit of six guests. However, when you sign a catering contract with us, $50 from your initial tasting is applied to your balance.
How long does a tasting last?
Tastings normally last about an hour but can vary depending on how many questions you may have or how complex of event you are planning. Please arrive PROMPTLY, as your time has been designated for you. If you are running late, please call so we can inform our chefs: (804) 750-1400.
